Kings vs. Blues: Dustin Brown Seals Series Victory With Empty Net Goal [VIDEO]

A few weeks ago the thought of the Los Angeles Kings making the Western Conference finals seemed impossible. They were fighting for a playoff spot and were struggling to play consistently on a nightly basis. Despite these struggles, the Kings battled back and earned the eighth and final seed in the Western Conference for the 2012 NHL Playoffs.

On Sunday, the Kings had a chance to sweep the St. Louis Blues and advance to the conference finals. Leading late by a score of 2-1, Dustin Brown sealed the victory with an empty net goal. We have video of it after the jump.

This is the first time in 19 years the Kings had advanced to the conference finals. They improved to 8-1 in the 2012 Playoffs with their win on Sunday.

L.A. will have a few days off to rest and will then face the Coyotes or Predators in the conference finals. Phoenix currently leads that series 3-1.
