The Los Angeles Kings currently lead the Western Conference Finals three games to none, but the Phoenix Coyotes will not go away without giving everything they've got. WIth a chance to clinch a spot in the Stanley Cup finals on Sunday, the Kings have come out a bit flat against the Coyotes on Sunday afternoon.
Phoenix came out aggressive and took an early 1-0 lead on a goal from Shane Doan. He was assisted by Ray Whitney. With the same score holding at the start of the second period, Doan scored yet again at 11:10 into the second period. He was set up nicely by Antoine Vermette. Doan now has six goals in the playoffs. After 40 minutes of play the Coyotes lead 2-0 in Los Angeles.
The Kings have out-shot the Coyotes by a total of nine shots, but they simply haven't been able to get anything past Phoenix goaltender Mike Smith.
The third period is about to begin. You can find the game live on NBC this afternoon.
