NHL Playoffs, Kings Vs. Coyotes Game 4 Score: Phoenix Takes Early 1-0 Lead

The Los Angeles Kings have a chance to advance to the Stanley Cup finals on Sunday afternoon. The team has been on an incredible roll lately, winning all but one of their playoff games thus far. The Phoenix Coyotes started showing signs of life in game three of the series, though, and will not go down without a fight. After all, this is a win or go home situation this afternoon in L.A.

After one period of play, the Coyotes lead by a score of 1-0.

Shane Doan scored 14:19 into the period, his fourth goal of the playoffs. He was assisted by Ray Whitney. The Kings had numerous scoring opportunities in the period, but they were unsuccessful at sneaking one past goalie Mike Smith.

The second period is about to get underway from Los Angeles.
