Canucks Vs. Kings, 2012 NHL Playoffs Game 5: Brad Richardson Scores Equalizer, Headed For Overtime In Vancouver

The No. 8 seed Los Angeles Kings are in search of their fifth consecutive NHL playoff game win, dating back to last season. If they get it Sunday night in Game 5 of the first round series against the No. 1 Vancouver Canucks, it will have to come in overtime.

Brad Richardson lit the lamp with the equalizer at 3:21 of the third period to tie the game at 1-1, his first goal of the series and fifth playoff goal of his career. Drew Doughty was instrumental in the goal, and picked up his second assist of the series on the Richardson goal.

The Kings are up three games to one in the series, and are in search of their first playoff series win in 11 years. Jonathan Quick has saved 24 of 25 shots for the Kings through three periods, while Cory Schneider has saved 29 of 30 shots for Vancouver.
