Kings Vs. Canucks, 2012 NHL Playoffs Game 4: Anze Kopitar Goal Gives L.A. 1-0 Lead

The Los Angeles Kings are not only looking for their first playoff series win since 2001, but they are also looking for their first-ever playoff sweep. Anze Kopitar got the No. 8 seed Kings off to a great start, as they lead the No. 1 seed Canucks 1-0 after the first period Wednesday night at Game 4 at Staples Center.

Kopitar took a pass from Justin Williams at 13:00 of the first period and beat Cory Schneider for his first goal of the series. It was the fourth assist in four series games for Williams.

Jonathan Quick didn't quite face the barrage he did in the last two games, in which he faced 89 shots, but Quick turned away all seven shots he faced in the opening 20 minutes of Game 4. The Kings outshot the Canucks 13-7 in the first period.
