The Los Angeles Kings headed to Calgary on Wenesday night looking to get back on the winning track. They are in the thick of a heated playoff chase, hoping to either win the hotly-contested Pacific Division in their remaining games or, at the very least, stay above the cut-off line for one of the eight Western Conference postseason berths. They managed to stay on pace with a strong 3-0 win and have now won seven of their last 10 games.

The Kings bombarded the Flames with 30 shots on goal in the game, while Calgary took just 19, all of which were saved by Jonathan Quick. Willie Mitchell got the Kings on the board at 5:30 of the first period. It would be the only goal the Kings would need, but they still added to it with Dustin Brown's 20th goal of the season at 4:22 in the second period and an empty net goal by Justin Williams at 18:51 of the third period. Williams now has 19 goals on the season.
