With two weeks remaining in the NHL regular season, the Los Angeles Kings could find themselves in any number of scenarios. They could win the Pacific Division and capture the third seed in the Western Conference in the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs, or the Kings could end up as low as 11th place, well out of the postseason.
There are seven regular season games remaining for the Kings, including five road contests. They finish their campaign with a home-and-home set with the San Jose Sharks, one of four teams within a point of each other in the Pacific Division.

The Kings open a four-game road trip Monday night against the Vancouver Canucks, leaders of the Northwest Division. However, Vancouver is the only one of the Kings' remaining seven opponents (really five opponents, with Edmonton and San Jose twice) currently in position to make the playoffs.
