Kings Trade Rumors 2012: Is Dustin Brown On The Block?

The Los Angeles Kings already made one big transaction before the trade deadline, acquiring Jeff Carter from the Columbus Blue Jackets for Jack Johnson and a draft pick on Thursday. But the question remains as the NHL trade deadline approaches on Monday, are the Kings done?

Dustin Brown is at the center of the rumors as someone who could be traded, and if Saturday night was his final game as a King Brown had one heck of a finale, scoring a hat trick in the Kings' 4-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.

"I've been a King my whole career and I expect to be a King beyond the next few days," Brown told Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times. "For me personally, with all the rumors flying around, it's my responsibility to prepare myself to be the best I can. Tonight I felt good."

At 2.08 goals per game, the Kings are dead last in the NHL in scoring, so they will be on the lookout for offense. The NHL trade deadline is noon PST on Monday.
