Kings Vs. Avalanche Final Score: Jonathan Quick Pulled In 4-1 Loss In Denver

The Los Angeles Kings continued to lose their grip on a playoff spot, losing to the Colorado Avalanche 4-1 Wednesday night at the Pepsi Center in Denver. It was the fourth consecutive loss for the Kings, who are 2-6-2 in their last 10 games.

The Kings (27-22-12) remain one point ahead of the Calgary Flames for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Los Angeles is just two points ahead of Colorado (30-27-4), and luckily for the Kings they don't have to face the Avalanche again this season. The Kings were 0-3-1 against Colorado this season.

Paul Stasny scored two goals for Colorado, including one of three Avalanche goals in the first period. Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick was pulled after giving up three goals in 11 shots in 20 minutes.

Dustin Brown scored the lone goal for the Kings, put it came in the third period after the team was down 4-0. Los Angeles has 15 goals in their last 10 games. The Kings return home Saturday night to face the Chicago Blackhawks.
