Kings Vs. Capitals: Johnson, Clifford Power Kings Past Washington

The Los Angeles Kings found a way to explode offensively against the Washington Capitals for the second year in a row, with a final score of 5-2. Jack Johnson Tebowed after his goal, and Darryl Sutter made some silly faces as the Kings ran away with this one. Johnson's goal turned out to be the game winner as the Kings improved to 3-2 on the homestand with the sixth and final game to come on Thursday.

Marcus Johnson of the Caps scored the opening and closing goal, his 8th and 9th of the season respectively. The fans in the Staples Center hadn't even settled in yet when the Capitals went up 1-0 a minute and a half into the game. However, the Kings were able to score two in the first period to put fans at ease, including Anze Kopitar's twelfth of the season.

Jack Johnson's game winner came three minutes into the second period. He couldn't quite pull of Tebowing on skates, btu he can't be blamed for trying. Jarrett Stoll put the Kings up 4-1 going into the second intermission, his fifth goal of the season.

Justin Williams scored a power play goal midway into the third period to put the game on ice. Kyle Clifford, who scored the game tying goal in the first period and assisted on the Jack Johnson goal had a standout game. The Kings host the Dallas Stars on Thursday.
