2011 NHL Playoffs: Sharks Pummel Kings 6-3 In Game 4, Take Control Of Series

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Ryane Clowe netted a pair of goals and Antti Niemi stopped 35 shots as San Jose put a stranglehold on this Western Conference quarterfinal series with a 6-3 decision over the Kings in Game 4 from Staples Center. Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski, Torrey Mitchell and Jason Demers also tallied for the Sharks, who scored three times in the third period to win and can advance to the conference semifinals with a victory in Game 5 in San Jose on Saturday.

Justin Williams, Brad Richardson and Alexei Ponikarovsky lit the lamp for the Kings, who were unable to shake off the memory of Tuesday's epic collapse. Los Angeles led 4-0 early in the second period before allowing six of the game's final seven goals in a 6-5 overtime setback. Jonathan Quick was tagged for all six goals on 27 shots in defeat. Game 5 is Saturday night in San Jose.
