Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Daniel Sedin scored the game-winner in the third period as the Vancouver Canucks took a 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center. Alexandre Burrows and Jannik Hansen both scored for the Canucks, who have alternated wins and losses over their last 12 games. Roberto Luongo made 21 stops in the win. Vancouver sits atop the NHL standings with 91 points.
Dustin Penner scored for the Kings, who have dropped two of their last three. It was his first goal with LA since his acquisition at the trade deadline from Edmonton. Jonathan Quick stopped 33-of-35 shots in the loss.
