Kings Vs. Blackhawks: Jonathan Quick Nets Fifth Shutout In 2-0 Road Win For Kings

Jonathan Quick leads the NHL with five shutouts this season.

Jonathan Quick saved 38 shots, picking up his NHL-best fifth shutout of the season, leading the Los Angeles Kings to a 2-0 road victory over the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center. Jarret Stoll and Trent Hunter both scored for the Kings, who have won four of their last five.

Quick improved to 16-10-5 on the season and leads the league with those five shutouts. He boasts a .930 save percentage, good for seventh in the NHL. The Kings improved to 8-5-4 on the road this season.

Corey Crawford saved 36 of 38 shots in defeat for the Blackhawks, who had won seven of their last eight games.

The Kings are 3-0-1 under new coach Darryl Sutter. The Kings end their brief two-game road trip on Thursday night in Winnipeg before returning home for a six-game homestand beginning New Year's Eve at Staples Center against the Vancouver Canucks.
