Kings Schedule 2011: Packed Week Ahead For Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Kings will face a packed week between Christmas and the new year. They'll play four games, including one against the formidable Chicago Blackhawks.

The Los Angeles Kings experienced some ups and downs in the past week, winning two games via shootout before dropping a shootout loss to the San Jose Sharks on Friday night. This upcoming week is packed for the Kings. They'll play four games between Boxing Day and Christmas Eve, bookended with home games.

First the Kings will play host to the division rival Phoenix Coyotes on Monday, December 26. The Kings currently sit two points behind the Coyotes for third place. That game will begin at 7:00 PM PST and will air on FS-W.

On Wednesday, December 28, the Kings will hit the road to take on the fearsome Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago is hanging on to the top spot in the Central Division over the St. Louis Blues and are 8-1-1 over their last 10 games. That game begins at 5:30 PM PST and also airs on FS-W.

They'll be back in action just one day later as the Kings visit the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday, December 29. The Jets have quietly taken control of second place in the Southeast Division, five points behind the Florida Panthers. That game also starts at 5:30 PM PST on FS-W.

Finally, the Kings will return home on New Year's Eve to host the Vancouver Canucks, who are in second place in the Northwest Division. The puck will drop at 7:00 PM PST and will air on FS-W and CBC.
