Kings Vs. Canucks: First Period Sends L.A. To 3-2 Home Defeat

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Aaron Rome capped a three-goal first period outburst by Vancouver and his tally proved to be the difference, as the Canucks held on to beat the Los Angeles Kings, 3-2, at Staples Center. Sami Salo and Andrew Ebbett scored power-play goals 42 seconds apart for Vancouver, which improved to 3-2-0 on a six-game road trip that ends in Anaheim on Friday.

Roberto Luongo made 28 saves to earn the win. Drew Doughty and Mike Richards found the back of the net for the Kings, who snapped an 0-3-2 skid with Tuesday's win over Nashville.

Jonathan Quick stopped 29-of-32 shots in defeat.
