The Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night look to do something they haven't done for nearly three weeks: win three straight games, as they host the Vancouver Canucks at Staples Center. The Kings snapped a five-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 4-2 victory over the Nashville Predators at home. This is the second of four consecutive home games for the Kings.
Forward Colin Fraser, whom the Kings acquired with a 2012 seventh-round draft pick from the Edmonton Oilers for Ryan Smyth in June, has been activated from the non-roster list and will be active for Thursday's game, the club announced today. Fraser, 26, has yet to play in this season.
This is the first of four meetings between the Kings and Canucks this season. The clubs split four games last year, with one Kings win coming in a shootout.
Thursday's 7:30 p.m. PST game will be televised by Fox Sports West. For more news and information on Kings hockey, be sure to read Jewels From The Crown.
