L.A. Kings Hold "Hashtag Battle" On Twitter In Support Of Children's Hospital

The Los Angeles Kings are ready to drop the puck on the 2011-12 NHL season, and want their fans to get into gear along with them. The Kings and New York Rangers will be facing off in their opening game in Stockholm, Sweden on Friday, and will be holding a "hashtag battle' during the game on Twitter in support of the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.

Starting at the puck drop (10 am PT), for every 5000 tweets using the hashtag #GoLAKings the Kings will donate $1000 to the Children's Hospital until the end of the game. On top of the donations, folks will also be automatically be entered into a drawing for airline vouchers from Delta Airlines, the official airline and private jet carrier of the Kings. Four tweeters will be selected as the grand prize winners, receiving one round-trip voucher to anywhere in the continental United States and Canada where Delta stops.

Rangers fans will be doing the same with #GoNYRangers hashtags, which will be tallied up after the game and a winning fan base will be crowned. So show your support for a good cause, and maybe you'll win yourself a trip!
