The Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks have had their ups and downs of late, and both have held steady at their positions in the latest NHL Power Rankings on SB Nation. The Kings slipped from fifth in the Western Conference to sixth, while the Ducks moved up from 12th to 11th. Both teams this season have had success at home, while struggling on the road.
↵The Kings this season are 11-2-1 at Staples Center, the best home winning percentage in the NHL. But they are 7-10-0 on the road, including 3-7-0 in their last 10 road contests. The Kings ended November losing seven of eight games, but have rebounded in December with a 5-2-1 mark.
↵The Ducks are 11-6-1 at Honda Center this season, and are 7-9-3 on the road. They have been a streaky team this season, following a six-game winning streak with a six-game losing streak in November. Anaheim is in the midst of a seven-game road trip that has seen them go 2-2 so far.
↵The Kings host the Ducks on the day after Christmas, Sunday at Staples Center.
