Blackhawks Calm The King Offense, Win 3-1

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Marty Turco stopped 33 shots to help the Chicago Blackhawks take a 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings at United Center.

Patrick Sharp, Viktor Stalberg and Jake Dowell each had a goal for the Blackhawks, who snapped a two-game skid.

Justin Williams scored the lone goal for the Kings, who had won five of six coming into the contest. Jonathan Bernier was charged with three goals on 28 shots in the loss.

With the score tied late in the second, Chicago went ahead when Duncan Keith fired a shot from the left point that was stopped, but Stalberg was on the doorstep to bang in the rebound.

Los Angeles dominated the third and had 15 shots on net, but Turco stood tall and Sharp's goal on a power move from the left wing to the front with 2:05 to play sealed the win.

The Blackhawks opened the scoring at the 5:16 mark of the first when Dowell notched his first goal of the season, while Williams countered near the midway mark to tie the game.
