UCLA Soccer Has Several Players Invited To MLS Combine

MLS announced today their list of 52 college seniors from 31 Division 1 schools that have been invited to participate in the 2012 Adidas Players combine. The combine will be held in Ft. Lauderdale, FL over four days in January. Several UCLA soccer players made the cut, as well as other Souther California colleges. The UCLA soccer team will play #1 ranked North Carolina in the NCAA College Cup semi-finals on Friday at 5:30 PST. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.

Goalkeeper: Brian Rowe (UCLA)

Midfielders: Andy Rose (UCLA), Eder Arreola (UCLA), Miguel Ibarra (UC Irvine), Rafael Garcia (CSUN)

Kenny Arena, son of Los Angeles Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena is an assistant coach at UCLA. Head coach Jorge Salcedo had 37 appearances with the Galaxy and three with the US National team in his playing career. He lead UCLA to the Championship game in 2006 where they lost to UC Santa Barbara.
