MLS Cup Playoffs: LA Galaxy Vs. Real Salt Lake: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

Nothing to it but to do it, with the Western Conference Championship trophy on the line tonight at Home Depot Center. The Los Angeles Galaxy last won the trophy in 2009. Real Salt Lake only has an Eastern Conference Championship trophy in their case. Oh MLS, and your completely ridiculous rules. To be fair, the New York Islanders once tried to claim they won their division because they won the divisional playoffs. So maybe MLS isn't alone.

What am I on about? Did you know the LA Galaxy have been in the MLS final four 11 times since MLS launched in 1996, the most in any major US sport in that time period. Nick Rimando has a 1.62 goals against average mark versus the LA Galaxy, his highest goals against average number for any MLS team. Those stats thanks to the Elias Sports Bureau.
