LA Galaxy Vs. Red Bulls: Home Is A Fortress

It'd be an understatement to say the Galaxy have been good at home this year. The LA Galaxy went 12-0-5 this year, undefeated and much has been made of that. However, what's not always mentioned is that the Galaxy haven't had a draw at home since July. August through October, the Galaxy are 6-0-0 in MLS play.

What's even more remarkable about that, is that span encompasses the entirety of CONCACAF Champions League play. The Galaxy were also undefeated at home in Champions League, so that mark is 9-0 since August 1st. June was by far the Galaxy's worst month at home, going 0-0-2 on the month with Landon Donovan playing in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The New York Red Bulls need to do something tonight that hasn't been done since FC Dallas last year in the Western Conference Championship. It's a memory this unit hasn't forgotten, and surely won't wish to repeat.

Furthermore, the Galaxy have only trailed at halftime only once at home this season, and LA won that game. The Galaxy have not trailed after 75' at home at all this season. The odds are certainly stacked against New York.
