The Los Angeles Dodgers face the San Francisco Giants on Saturday in another round in their fight for the NL West crown. Los Angeles is currently 5 1/2 games behind the first-place Giants, and a 5-2 loss on Friday night didn't help their cause. They're currently 1 1/2 games behind in the race for one of the two NL Wild Card spots, currently held by the Atlanta Braves and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Chris Capuano (11-10, 3.63 ERA) will start for the Dodgers. He's 0-4 with a 5.32 ERA in five appearances at San Francisco. The team will likely need a lot of offensive production, something they (like the rest of the league) have struggled with when facing Matt Cain (13-5, 2.98 ERA). He's 4-0 with a 2.02 ERA in seven starts against the Dodgers, with Los Angeles scoring one run or less in each of the four wins.
