Dodgers Vs. Rockies Game Preview: Joe Blanton Looks To Snap Losing Streak

The Dodgers will look to salvage the finale of a three-game series against the Rockies on Wednesday afternoon at Coors Field. Colorado defeated newly acquired Los Angeles starter Josh Beckett in the first game, before prevailing 8-4 on Tuesday.

Joe Blanton will be on the mound for the Dodgers to try and stop their losing streak at three. Blanton is 8-12 with a 5.02 ERA this season. He may have trouble in the thin air of Coors Field, as he has allowed 26 home runs in 154.1 innings pitched.

The Rockies counter with Drew Pomeranz. The left-hander is 1-7 with a 4.78 ERA in 15 starts. Pomeranz has not reached the end of the sixth inning in any start since July 6, a stretch that spans eight appearances.

Dodgers CF Matt Kemp is expected to miss today's game after he suffered a right knee contusion and a jaw injury on Tuesday. Kemp was injured after crashing into the wall in pursuit of a triple by the Rockies' Josh Rutledge.

Game time is set for 12:10 p.m. PT.
