The Los Angeles Dodgers held a press conference Saturday to announce the blockbuster trade that has brought Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford and Nick Punto from the Boston Red Sox. It was announced that Beckett will be making his first start Monday against the Colorado Rockies, as reported by SB Nation's Eric Stephens. The right-hander has struggled to a 5-11 record with a 5.23 ERA this season.
Dodger fans will not have to wait as long to see the primary piece in the trade, as the first baseman Gonzalez will be starting and batting clean-up for Los Angeles against the Miami Marlins on Saturday night. Gonzalez is batting .300 with 15 HR and 86 RBI in 2012.
The Dodgers will still need to make moves to get Beckett and Punto on the 25-man roster
