The Los Angeles Dodgers will have their newest first baseman in the lineup on Saturday night against the Marlins. According to reports, Adrian Gonzalez is on his way to L.A. now and should be at the ballpark in time to make the start. He is expected to bat fourth or fifth.
Given the recent acquisitions of Hanley Ramirez and Shane Victorino, manager Don Mattingly has plenty of options when he constructs his lineup on a nightly basis with Gonzalez in the mix. Add these three next to Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier and the club immediately features one of the better batting orders in all of baseball.

As for an introductory press conference for Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford and Nick Punto, they are not expected to arrive in time to meet the media on Saturday. Look for something to be set up on Sunday afternoon or sometime Monday.
