Dodgers Vs. Marlins Game Preview: L.A. Seeks 2nd Consecutive Win

With a blockbuster trade expected to be finalized on Saturday, the Los Angeles Dodgers prepare to take on the Miami Marlins in the second game of a three-game series at Dodger Stadium. First pitch is at 6:10 p.m. PT as the Dodgers look to win their second in a row after opening the series with a 11-4 victory on Friday night.

The Dodgers send lefty ace Clayton Kershaw to the mound against the Marlins' powerful right-hander Josh Johnson.

Kershaw has once again been brilliant for the Dodgers in 2012, going 11-7 with a 2.87 ERA and 175 strikeouts to only 42 walks. Opposing batters are hitting .213 against Kershaw this season, just below his career average.

Johnson -- much like the 57-70 Marlins -- has struggled in 2012, going 7-10 with a 3.73 ERA. Johnson has taken the loss in each of his last three starts.

Since the major trade between the Dodgers and the Red Sox that would have L.A. receiving Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford and Nick Punto has yet to go through, it is unclear whether any of those players will suit up for the Dodgers tonight.
