The Los Angeles Dodgers open a crucial four-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night at PNC Park, and their lineup on Monday is without Jerry Hairston Jr., who suffered an injury on Saturday.
Hairston hasn't been used as an everyday player so normally his absence from the lineup wouldn't be a concern, but he left Saturday's game in Miami with left hip tightness. Monday marks the second straight game he is out of the lineup, after starting four straight games at third base.
