2012 Home Run Derby: Contestants, TV Schedule, Start Time And More

The 2012 MLB All-Star break officially begins on Monday and the festivities will kick off with the annual Home Run Derby on Monday night. Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp serves as the captain of the National League team as they go up against defending champion Rabinson Cano and his American League squad, which includes Mark Trumbo of the Los Angeles Angels, who ended the first half with 22 homers.

Joining Kemp on the NL team will be Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez, St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Carlos Beltran and Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen, who will be replacing Giancarlo Stanton of the Miami Marlins, who pulled out to undergo knee surgery.

On Robinson Cano's AL team along with Trumbo will be Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista and 2009 Derby winner Prince Fielder of the Detroit Tigers.

The 2012 Home Run Derby begins at 5 p.m. PT on Monday night. It will be televised on ESPN.
