Dodgers Vs. Diamondbacks Game Preview: Clayton Kershaw Looks For More Arizona Success

The Los Angeles Dodgers look for their fourth straight win on Friday night in the second game of a four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. The Dodgers will send their best pitcher to the mound, as Clayton Kershaw looks to continue his success in Phoenix.

Kershaw has allowed seven earned runs, and 11 runs total, in his last eight starts against the Diamondbacks. He is 7-1 with a 1.22 ERA during that span with 17 walks and 61 strikeouts in 51 1/3 innings.

In his last three starts, Kershaw has a 1.71 ERA with seven walks and 24 strikeouts in 21 innings, and he was named to his second straight National League All-Star team.

The Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks 4-1 on Thursday behind home runs from Scott Van Slyke and Elian Herrera, which helped Nathan Eovaldi pick up his first win of the season. The Dodgers have won three of four games in Arizona this season.

Josh Collmenter has bounced back and fourth between the bullpen and the starting rotation and he will make his seventh start of the year on Friday. Since May 28, Collmenter has allowed just two runs in 21 1/3 innings with 21 strikeouts and six walks.

The Diamondbacks have lost six straight games.
