The Los Angeles Dodgers look for their second win in as many days at AT&T Park, but on Saturday they will face a San Francisco Giants that looks a tad different from Friday night. Marco Scutaro, who was acquired via trade on Friday from the Colorado Rockies, starts at third base and bats seventh for San Francisco on Saturday.
Scutaro, 36, hit .271/.324/.361 in 95 games for Colorado this season, playing second base and shortstop. He has not played third base since 2008, but figures to fill in at third for the immediate future, as Pablo Sandoval was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday. Sandoval injured his hamstring in a stretch at first base on Wednesday against the San Diego Padres.
The Giants also activated Aubrey Huff form the disabled list and infielder Emmannuel Burriss was designated for assignment.
