The Los Angeles Dodgers look for their second straight win on Monday night as they welcome the first-place Cincinnati Reds to Dodger Stadium for a three-game series. Both teams are missing All-Stars, as Matt Kemp is still on the disabled list for the Dodgers, and Joey Votto is out for the second straight game for Cincinnati with left knee inflammation.
Andre Ethier is also out of the lineup for the Dodgers, missing his fifth straight game with a strained left oblique. Ethier took part in stretching drills with the team on Monday but still hasn't taken batting practice. He has been limited to hitting off a tee and long toss.
"I know he feels a lot better," said manager Don Mattingly. "It's going to get to really be more of a decision of making sure and not taking any chances."
