The Los Angeles Angels will be well represented at the 2012 MLB All-Star Game as four (maybe five) players have been named to the American League squad this year, including Jered Weaver, C.J. Wilson, Mark Trumbo and rookie Mike Trout.
The four All-Stars is the most for the Angels have had since 1995, while marks the seventh time in franchise history the team has sent four or more players to the midsummer classic. The Angels could have five players with the addition of RHP Ernesto Frieri as a candidate for the final fan vote, while Trout will become the seventh youngest American league All-Star position player in the 79-year history of the the exhibition.
As for Weaver and Wilson, Jered makes his third consecutive All-Star Game, while Wilson will be making his second All-Star appearance, also consecutively. Albert Pujols was not named an All-Star this year.
