2012 MLB All-Star Game Voting Results: Matt Kemp Named As National League Starter, Will Not Play

As we wait for the rest of the 2012 MLB All Star rosters to be announced on Sunday, the starters for both the National and American leagues have been announced, and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp has been named as one of the starers for the NL. Unfortunately due to his nagging hamstring injury Kemp will not take part in this year's All-Star game.

Here are the rest of the starters, which include three of their arch-rival San Francisco Giants as well as former Dodger Rafael Furcal as the starting shortstop.

  • Buster Posey C
  • Joey Votto 1B
  • Dan Uggla 2B
  • Rafael Furcal SS
  • Pablo Sandoval 3B
  • Melky Cabrera OF
  • Carlos Beltran OF

This certainly is quite the lineup to start this year's All-Star game, though missing Kemp will certainly be a bummer. Hopefully the Boys in Blue can get him back sooner than later.
