Dodgers Vs. Rockies Final Score: Alex White Shuts Down L.A. 3-2

The Los Angeles Dodgers managed just three hits on Sunday in their series finale against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, losing 3-2 for their sixth loss in their last seven games. Alex White pitched into the seventh inning for the Rockies for his second win of the season.

Nathan Eovaldi allowed three runs, including two earned runs, in suffering his second loss in as many starts. Eovaldi was chased in the sixth inning with a pair of run scoring hits by Todd Helton and Jordan Pacheco, turning a 1-0 Rockies' lead into a 3-0 advantage.

Dodgers catcher A.J. Ellis continued his storybook season with a two-run home run in the seventh to pull the Dodgers within one, but after that the Dodgers fell just short. Later in the seventh, with two runners on, Alex Castellanos hit a ball that was close to becoming a game-tying single but second baseman DJ LeMahieu made a diving grab to end the rally.

In the ninth, down a run, both Ellis and Tony Gwynn Jr. flew out to the warning track, falling short of game-tying home runs.

The Dodgers take their struggling road show to Philadelphia, where on Monday they will begin a four-game series against the Phillies.
