It appears that Dodgers fans will have to wait until after the Midsummer Night Classic before their star center-fielder returns to play. Don Mattingly said on Sunday that it is a wait and see approach to rehabbing Matt Kemp's injured hamstring and that, "They are adding stuff for him to do, having him do more. It's a reaction to how he reacts to that."
Today, Dylan Hernandez, the Dodgers beat reporter for the LA Times, tweeted that Kemp will not play in the All-Star Game unless he has played for the Dodgers beforehand, and would also need five or six minor league rehab games in the process. He would however be OK with Kemp taking part in the home-run derby.
