Dodgers Vs. Angels Final Score: Erick Aybar, Alberto Callaspo Homer In Halos' 2-1 Win

Erick Aybar hit a solo home run off Kenley Jansen in the top of the ninth inning to give the Los Angeles Angels a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night at Dodger Stadium. It was the second loss in three nights for Jansen, who was pitching on his third straight day.

"I just have to keep attacking and keep pitching, be aggressive," said Jansen. "You have to have a short memory in this game."

Both starters pitched effectively, as C.J. Wilson allowed one run in seven innings and Nathan Eovaldi gave up one run in six frames. Wilson, however, did walk five batters while striking out only three.

LaTroy Hawkins picked up his first win of the season by pitching a scoreless eighth inning. Alberto Callaspo hit a solo home run in the top of the second inning to tie the game, his third of the season.

The Dodgers rallied in the ninth inning off Ernesto Frieri, with runners at first and third with nobody out and then second and third with one out, but Frieri got out of the jam for his sixth save. Frieri has not allowed a run in 17 appearances since joining the Angels.

Both teams are off on Thursday. The Dodgers open a series against the Chicago White Sox on Friday at Dodger Stadium, with Clayton Kershaw and Chris Sale facing off in a battle of top left-handers. The Angels are also home over the weekend, hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks, with Dan Haren and Trevor Cahill on the mound Friday in battle of former A's.
