Angels Vs. Dodgers: Jered Weaver Could Return Next Week, Albert Pujols Starts At Third Base

The Los Angeles Angels look to match their franchise record with an 11th consecutive road win on Tuesday night as they battle the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second game of a three game series at Dodger Stadium. The Halos got a bit of good news on Tuesday as ace pitcher Jered Weaver is getting close to returning to the starting rotation.

Weaver threw a full bullpen session on Tuesday, per Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times, and will throw a simulated game on Friday. Weaver's return could come as early as next week.

Catcher Bobby Wilson will begin a rehab assignment with Class A Inland Empire on Wednesday, catching five innings against San Jose. Wilson was placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list on June 5, and could return as early as Friday.

Here is the starting lineup for the Angels on Tuesday, which include Albert Pujols starting at third base for the second time this season. Pujols has six consecutive multi-hit games.
