Dodgers Vs. Rockies Starting Lineups: Jerry Hairston Jr. Bats Cleanup

The Los Angeles Dodgers open a 10-game road trip on Friday night as they open a weekend series at Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies. Chris Capuano gets the start against the Dodgers, facing Josh Outman for the Rockies.

Jerry Hairston Jr. makes his first career start batting cleanup tonight for the Dodgers, five days after going 5-for-5 in his first career start batting third.

Alex Castellanos got hit by a pitch in Thursday's loss to Milwaukee, and makes his first major league start on Friday in Colorado. He is batting sixth and playing left field. Scott Van Slyke starts at first base for the second straight day, with James Loney getting another day off.

"We'll give Scottie a shot to play without having to come in and try to pinch hit off the bench," said manager Don Mattingly on Thursday.
