Dodgers Vs. Cubs Final Score: Bullpen Falters In 4-3 L.A. Loss

The Los Angeles Dodgers had a one-run lead in the ninth inning on Sunday, but couldn't hold it, as the Chicago Cubs found a way to win 4-3 in 11 innings on Sunday at Wrigley Field. David DeJesus walked with the bases loaded off Jamey Wright to give Chicago the win.

Javy Guerra allowed two hits, a walk, and a run in the bottom of the ninth inning for his third blown save of the season. Tony Campana hit an RBI double that might have won the game were it not for DeJesus getting thrown out at the plate.

Guerra has allowed runs in four of his last five outings, a span that includes two blown saves, another loss, and a 13.50 ERA. Manager Don Mattingly said of his closing situation after the game, "I have to keep looking at it that's for sure," per David Vassegh of 570 AM Fox Sports Radio.

Jerry Hairston Jr. was removed from the game in the second inning, straining his left hamstring while running to first base on a single. The infield is already thin with Juan Uribe battling a wrist injury that has caused him to be held out of the lineup for the last five games. If one or both of Hairston or Uribe has to be placed on the disabled list, look for Justin Sellers to be recalled.

The Dodgers finished their road trip 2-4 and are 8-8 on the road this season. They return home to Dodger Stadium Monday night for a three-game series with the Giants. Ted Lilly and Barry Zito start the opener for the Dodgers
