MLB Mock Draft 2012: Dodgers Pick Ty Hensley

The Los Angeles Dodgers are riding high, so anyone they pick in the 2012 MLB Draft would simply be gravy on what the team already needs. However, there are always needs, and the Dodgers do have some things they could afford to improve upon.

Keith Law of ESPN has the Dodgers upgrading their pitching by taking Ty Hensley, right-handed pitcher from Santa Fe High School in Edmond, Oklahoma. The Dodgers don't really have a real weakness, but they could use some pitching, and taking a guy who could develop into one big-time starter in the pros makes a lot of sense.

At 6-5 with a plus fastball, Hensley fits the mold of your classic top-of-the-rotation starter. I've also heard Dahl and Hensley here; haven't specifically heard North Carolina prep righty Ty Buttrey, but he'd fit their mold.
