Dodgers Vs. Diamondbacks Starting Lineups: Scott Van Slyke Makes 1st Start At First Base

The Los Angeles Dodgers won their fourth straight game on Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals thanks to a three-run pinch-hit home run by Scott Van Slyke. On Monday in Phoenix, against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Van Slyke makes his first major league start at first base and bats cleanup for the Dodgers.

With the left-handed Patrick Corbin on the mound for Arizona, the Dodgers have inserted both of their right-handed power hitters who began the season with Triple A Albuquerque, Van Slyke and Jerry Sands, with Sands playing left field on Monday. Here are the starting lineups for the series opener, which for the Dodgers includes their backup catcher and five players with less than a year of MLB service time:
