Dodgers Vs. Cardinals Starting Lineups: Allen Craig, Kyle McClellan Placed On DL By St. Louis

The Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals open a three-game weekend series Friday night, a battle of division leaders at Dodger Stadium. The series is also a battle of a couple of banged up teams. The Dodgers currently have three starters, including Matt Kemp, and super sub Jerry Hairston Jr. on the disabled list, while the Cardinals have an ailing Carlos Beltran and two more placed on the DL Friday.

Allen Craig, who is hitting .373 this year with just five home runs in 13 games, was placed on the disabled list with a strained left hamstring, the second time this season he has hit the DL. Kyle McClellan, who was not scheduled to pitch in this series, was also placed on the disabled list by the Cardinals, who recalled outfielder Adron Chambers and pitcher Brandon Dickson from Triple A Memphis.

Here are Friday's starting lineups from Dodger Stadium, which include Adam Kennedy batting fifth for the Dodgers for a second straight day:
