Bryce Harper to Make Major League Debut Saturday At Dodger Stadium

We must wait no longer.

As noted by the Nationals' official twitter account, the much anticipated Major League debut for phenom and 2010 first overall pick Bryce Harper will happen Saturday at Dodger Stadium, where the two current top NL teams will be meeting. The Dodgers are 7-2 at home this season and will be facing off against another former first overall pick, Nationals starting pitcher Steven Strasberg.

Harper is a former catcher-turned-outfielder that has been tearing up the minor leagues when healthy since being drafted first overall by the Nats, but they've brought him along slowly. He was optioned to AAA Syracuse to start the season this year, and it should be interesting, even as a Dodger fan, to witness his first game after a much-hyped high school, junior college, and minor league career. Harper is still only 19.
