The Los Angeles Dodgers continue their road trip Friday night as they battle the Houston Rockets at Minute Maid Park. Ted Lilly gets the start for the Dodgers, while J.A. Happ starts for the Astros.
The Dodgers staved off a sweep by the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday with a 4-3 win. Matt Kemp hit a home run, his seventh of the season, making him the first Dodger with seven home runs in the first 13 games of the season since Rick Monday in 1978.
Lilly allowed one unearned run in seven innings last Saturday against the San Diego Padres in his first start of the season. The Dodgers got three quality starts in three games in Milwaukee and have seven quality starts in 13 games.
The Dodgers started their road trip 1-2 but look to win at least two of three in Houston as after Lilly they have their top two starters, Clayton Kershaw and Chad Billingsley, starting on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Houston snapped a four-game losing streak on Thursday with a win over Washington.
