The Los Angeles Dodgers have had a wonderful start to their season, winning seven of their first eight games. They have won all four games at Dodger Stadium on their first homestand, but it hasn't been quite the same without Vin Scully. The legendary broadcaster, in his 63rd season calling Dodgers games, has been out all homestand with a bad cold. But Scully plans to return to the booth on Sunday for the series finale against San Diego.
↵Scully is said to be at home recovering, which is great news to Dodgers fans everywhere. In his first game back he will get to watch Clayton Kershaw pitch, too.
↵The home opener Scully missed Tuesday was only the second home opener he has missed in 63 seasons. The last time Scully didn't call the home opener was in 1977, when he was announcing the Masters golf tournament for CBS.
