Dodgers Spring Training 2012: Chad Billingsley To Start Cactus League Opener

Manager Don Mattingly on Tuesday revealed the order of his spring training starting rotation, naming Chad Billingsley the starter for their March 5 Cactus League opener against the Chicago White Sox at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona. The remainder of the Los Angeles Dodgers' starting rotation will be, in order, Ted Lilly, Aaron Harang, Chris Capuano, and Clayton Kershaw.

Kershaw is the club's regular season opening day starter, and the club set his spring schedule to plan for him starting on April 5 in San Diego. In addition, Kershaw will fly to Los Angeles on March 15 to accept the Los Angeles Sportsman of the Year award from the L.A. Sports Council. His first two spring starts will be Friday, March 9 in Surprise against the Texas Rangers and Wednesday, March 14 against the Cincinnati Reds in Goodyear.

Kershaw will pitch a simulated game on Sunday, March 4 as well.
