Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman prospect Rafael Ynoa collected two hits (both singles) and an RBI as the Mesa Solar Sox ended their contest against the Salt River Rafters in a 2-2 tie in Arizona Fall League action on Wednesday.
The RBI was Ynoa's 13th on the season, and came in the bottom of the ninth inning, as Mesa was down one run. The single on a soft drive to center field was enough to score runner Jiovanni Mier from second base. The Solar Sox couldn't plate another run, and the game ended in a stalemate.
Dodgers pitching prospect Chris Reed was impressive in his one inning of work for the Solar Sox, as he struck out two out of the three batters he faced and threw 11 strikes out of 14 pitches in the process. He is working to improve his 9.95 ERA on the season.
Ynoa attempted to nab his seventh stolen base of the season, but was caught stealing second.
