Matt Kemp will be presented with the 2011 Roy Campanella Award, given annually to the Dodger player who best exemplifies the spirit and leadership of the late Dodgers catcher, before Wednesday night's game with the San Francisco Giants. Over at True Blue LA, Kemp's chances for the National League triple crown were analyzed, and the center fielder is closer to accomplishing the feat than many realize.
Kemp currently leads the National League in runs and RBI, is second in home runs (two behind the leader, Albert Pujols), and third in batting average (.009 behind Jose Reyes). Kemp also leads the NL with 320 total bases, a category no Dodger has led since Duke Snider in 1954.
Kemp is in his usual third spot in the batting order on Wednesday. Here are the starting lineups:
Giants (83-71)
Christian CF
Keppinger 2B
Beltran RF
Pill 1B
Belt LF
DeRosa 3B
Fontenot SS
Stewart C
Vogelsong P
Dodgers (77-76)

The elimination number for the Giants in the NL West is two, meaning the Dodgers can eliminate their rivals from the division with wins on Wednesday and Thursday.
Wednesday's 7:10 p.m. PDT game will be televised by Prime Ticket. For more Dodgers news and information, be sure to read True Blue LA.
