The Los Angeles Dodgers released their preliminary schedule for the 2012 regular season on Wednesday, with a number of notable games on the docket for next year. They'll open the season down south in San Diego on Thursday, April 5, with their home opener at Dodger Stadium set for Tuesday, April 10 against the Pirates, highlighting the 50th anniversary of the Dodgers' first game ever at Dodger Stadium.

Along with the three-game set against the Pirates, the Dodgers' opening homestand includes a weekend series against the Padres as well, marking their second series within the first two weeks of the year. The Dodgers will finish their regular season at home with a three game set against the San Francisco Giants, concluding on Wednesday, October 3.

As for Interleague Play next season, the Dodgers will face American League West opponents, as well as a visit for the Chicago White Sox. The Dodgers visits Seattle for a weekend series June 8-10, travel to Oakland from June 19-21. The Dodgers host the Angels from June 11-13 before visiting Angel Stadium from June 22-24 for the battle of L.A., then the White Sox over the following weekend of June 15-17.

The Dodgers will also play home games on Jackie Robinson Day (Sunday, April 15 vs. SD), Mother's Day (Sunday, May 13 vs. COL), Memorial Day (Monday, May 28 vs. MIL), Father's Day (Sunday, June 17 vs. CWS), the Fourth of July (Wednesday, July 4 vs. CIN) and Labor Day (Monday, September 3 vs. SD), so make sure to get out and support the Boys in Blue!
